Robert A. Johnson: Born 1946 in Kimberly West Virginia. His father, Joseph, an army veteran and coal miner with a large family, fell on hard times in the fifties and in 1958, beckoned by the booming auto industry, moved his wife and family north to Wyandotte, Michigan, a suburb of Metro Detroit. Robert graduated from High school in 1964 and Joined the Navy.

After completing Boot-camp in San Diego, California, and additional preparation as an aircraft engine mechanic, at the Memphis Naval air station in Millington, Tennessee, he was assigned to the aircraft maintenance shop at the Fallon Naval Air station as a Petty officer third class.

Robert met his wife Joyce in 1965 while stationed at Fallon, and on receiving his discharge from active duty in December of 1968, he returned to Michigan with Joyce and their two children. The following year he became a Police Officer in his hometown. In 1999 with nearly thirty years in the department, Robert retired as Detective Sergeant and currently lives with his wife in Fallon, Nevada.
